Sustainable Responsible Impact (SRI) Investing is an investment strategy that considers social good alongside financial return - it's all about using your money to place a vote for the companies whose corporate practices promote environmental stewardship, human rights, consumer protection, and good governance.
Virginia Impact Investing Forum (VIIF) is bringing together a community of people who care about doing the most good with their money. This event will be the first of (hopefully) many more. We'll be discussing the strategies and principles of SRI Investing and brainstorming ways to best implement it in a portfolio. Additionally, we're hoping to get feedback from attendees on what kind of community you'd like to see formed and what events would be of interest in the future.
The meetup will be in the Beet Cafe in Ellwood Thompson's. Consider arriving a few minutes early to grab yourself lunch from Ellwood's hot bar or lunch counter.
Whether you're an investment professional, a personal investor, or just interested in learning more about SRI Investing and meeting some like-minded people, we look forward to having you join us!
